So while sometimes characters don't always turn out the way I want, I think this is at least a good start for this character. Regardless, I was trying to see how to practice drawing a lioness, especially since I will have to later. The character "Cassidy" that I imagined in my head was quite ambiguous. She had hair, she had a more canine appearance, and was more slim body wise. But then I thought, "why not try a lion?" Not sure if I'll stick to this design. Hm... so this character is from an original story that was briefly referenced to in my fanfic, Framed. The story itself is called, Keep up, we're the Joneses
General info (Not final):
Name: Cassidy Jones
Height/Weight: 5' 9"
Occupation: Gray-hat hacker, Co-owner of the "family business" (finance and data management)
Family: Unnamed mother and father (deceased), Elias Jones (Eldest brother), Malik Jones (older brother)
Backstory (Not final): Cassidy Jones and her brothers were born into wealth, thanks to their parents' adept skills at running a business. Everyone who worked under them had a specific code of conduct to follow, and because of the type of business that they ran, there was zero-margin for error, as a slip up could cost the Jones' entire business, and have everybody connected to them thrown in jail. Yes, Cassidy's parents were gangsters and criminals who conducted business in the black market. While they did distribute questionable goods, her parents were meticulous about keeping the business away from the family. They lived a seemingly ordinary life. In fact, Cassidy's parents had even tried to set up a legitimate business. Sadly, in the crime world, backstabbers are rampant. Cassidy, Malik, and Elias found themselves orphaned and separated when their parents were found shot in the streets. (Whether the feds had caught them, or if it was a rival gang, I haven't decided)
Elias and Malik were shipped off to the military in the hopes that they could be "corrected", and be prevented from following in their parents' footsteps. (They were also nearly adults and probably had to serve some mandatory time in the military anyway.) On the other hand, Cassidy was sent to a foster home and was raised by an ordinary family. She had always had a talent for math and technology, and impressed her foster parents. She had a younger sister who she loved, but her talents truly shone when she found out her sister was being stalked by a creep. She had managed to track the creep's location, and with the help of some friends, had a "friendly chat" with the creep.
She had ended up helping the cops find a felon, and she had compensated her friends with cuts from the creep's bank account, and taking and selling his belongings. Cassidy then took this incident as a calling. While at first the feds had a problem with her methods in dealing with felons, eventually they came to a compromise. If she works with them, and does her job, they'd let her carry out her plans however she pleases.
When her brothers come back from overseas, Cassidy is overjoyed. They certainly have a lot to catch up on, and Cassidy even proposes bringing back the "family business" from the ashes. The market has changed since the end of their parents' legacy. The Jones family is almost forgotten in the underground. Except the three agree that they can't do the same things their parents have done- they'd have to do it better and on a larger scale. The Jones's were back in action, and once they catch up to the rest, they'd take their rightful place at the front, where nobody can keep up with them....
Well, hope you like Cassidy as well. Look out for future things related to her and her brothers. It's quite the wild ride.
Cassidy, Elias, and Malik Jones (the latter two are mentioned) belong to me~
